Rice Alumni in Medicine Pinning Ceremony

Join Rice Alumni in Medicine (RAM) as we honor and celebrate graduating pre-health students and welcome them to the Rice alumni community. During the ceremony, attendees will be officially inducted into RAM; they will receive a certificate and a RAM pin that they can proudly display on their white coats as they start their journey in medicine or associated health professions. During the event, graduating pre-health students will receive a pin and hear remarks from Dr. Virginia Moyer, the Vice President for Quality and MOC at the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Moyer received the Association of Rice Alumni 2016 Distinguished Alumni Award. She previously served as Chief Medical Quality Officer at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. In 2011, Dr. Moyer was named by Time Magazine as a “Person Who Mattered” for her work as chair of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force. Refreshments will be served. The event is free, but an RSVP is required. The deadline to respond is May 9. When registering, please be sure to include an RSVP for your parents, family members, and guests.
