Join Austin Rice Alumni in Medicine for a relaxing evening at the home of doctors John Abikhaled '88 and Shannon Abikhaled as they host Rebecca Richards-Kortum. During dessert, Richards-Kortum will give a talk titled "How Rice is Saving Lives by Scaling Newborn Essential Solutions & Technologies Across Africa."

Richards-Kortum is the Malcolm Gillis University Professor, professor of bioengineering and professor of electrical and computer engineering, director of Rice 360° Institute for Global Health, founder of Beyond Traditional Borders Undergraduate Global Health Program and was recently featured in the Wall Street Journal after winning a MacArthur Foundation Genius Grant.

Space is limited to 30 guests on a first come, first served basis.
