Rice University Owl Edge Externship Program

Are you looking for a low commitment way to mentor a Rice student? Development and Alumni Relations partnered with the Center for Career Development to develop the Owl Edge Externship program. Externships are one- to five-day job shadowing experiences designed to give undergraduate students a realistic idea of a day in the life in your career field. Job shadowing may include touring your facility, sharing your career path, observing you at staff or client meetings, interviewing other colleagues, and visiting with the human resource professional to understand career opportunities.

Externships take place during Winter and Spring Break(s) so students can maximize these exploratory career experiences. Students are responsible for all travel costs.

The next session will be: Spring Break
March 13-17, 2017

Deadline to register: Friday, Jan. 13, 2017
